Whitelist

A governance mechanism for authorizing a specifically identified call.

In plain language

A call can be approved by hash and later dispatched through the Whitelisted Caller origin, with or without the preimage embedded in the referendum call.

Why it matters

Missing preimages can make old whitelisted proposals difficult to understand.
